I am Ottó Fogarasi, social educator, based in Turin, Italy.
I empower groups and individuals to reach their potential. My clients are mainly schools/teachers; the nonprofit sector/social workers and socially-environmentally conscious public or private entities, as well as adolescents/young adults.
My focus is on the development of so-called social skills or life skills like cooperation, decision-making, planning, self-management… My method is experiential learning - in a safe-to-fail environment - with a strong emphasis on self-reflection and raising your awareness, and my main tools are board games and cohesion / team-building games.
My services are usually tailor-made according to your needs. Most of them can be done in 2 hours or more days – of course the more time I have the more I can give. Some are available online as well.
There is a strong connection between all my services: they all support self-determination and active participation and they operate on a voluntary basis - values that are highly important to me.

I have a decade of experience in the field of education and social work. Besides others, I've worked in an alternative high school, co-leading both a program based on experiential education and a group of adolescents at high-risk. As a school social worker I've done 500+ activities (team-building, prevention, game-based learning) in various schools. I've done educational projects in prisons. I've organized a summer camp based on board games and for my thesis I've created a board game course for adolescents in detention. For 2 years I acted as leader of the employees' council at my workplace.
I am qualified as a social pedagogue BA; as a restorative facilitator, as a mediator as well as a graphologist and a youth animator. I have done a lot of training on group management and educational issues, for example: Cooperative Learning; Amnesty International Human Rights Education; Preventing Domestic Violence; Child Safeguarding Policy Program; UNICEF Children's Rights Education; Advocator of Employeesʼ Interests; Cyclicality in Leadership and Organizations.
